Identification and Planning
Abatement Solutions works directly with indoor air quality professionals like Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH), Environmental Scientists, and various Indoor Air Quality Specialists who perform visual inspections, use specialized equipment for sampling, and document pertinent conditions including moisture levels, temperature, and humidity which are critical for mold growth. These professionals identify trouble areas and recommend a course of action to resolve indoor air quality problems.
Water Resolution
Mold growth depends on oxygen, temperature, a food source, and moisture. Moisture is the only thing that can be reasonably controlled. Abatement Solutions maintains a select group of qualified water intrusion solution providers. Water intrusion related to a leaky foundation or roof, a broken or leaking pipe, a faulty (i.e. too tight) building envelope, or excessive humidity can produce an environment that encourages mold growth. Qualified professionals such as roofers, plumbers, building foundation specialists, masonry repair contractors, and forensic investigators are ready to effectively solve the water intrusion problem.
Remediation
Each of Abatement Solutions mold technicians has been specifically trained in the removal and cleaning of microbiological contaminates. All personnel are required to wear specialized personal protective equipment such as respirators, non-breathable coveralls, and gloves throughout the cleaning/remediation process. Abatement Solutions remediation specialists isolate mold contaminated areas with a series of engineering controls. Work areas are contained to separate the work environment from non-work areas. Negative air pressure machines draw air and contaminates from the contained area through High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters, and exhausts it to the outside. This helps ensure that mold does not contaminate other areas including adjacent living spaces. Abatement Solutions utilizes state-of-the-art techniques including component removal, tested cleaning methods, and specialized products specifically designed for the mold abatement industry.
Clearance and Restoration
The Indoor Air Quality professional samples the effected area and surrounding environment throughout the project. Laboratory testing confirms that mold has been effectively removed before your project is considered complete. Abatement Solutions can provide contracting services to replace and repair building items that were removed during remediation or damaged by mold.
